Rekord Buddy crashes, how can I send you a crash log?


Crash logs provides important information to help Next diagnose and fix critical issues. Unfortunately some of the dialogs you will get when the app crashes can be confusing. Here is the low-down on crash logs and how to make sure they get to us.

Depending on the type of crash you may first see a dialog like this:

If you do, make sure you click on ‘Crash’. Either way, right when the crash happens, you may see a dialog like this:

This dialog sends information back to Apple. Unfortunately this won’t be useful for us to diagnose the problem. Don’t copy and paste the log via email, this won’t help either. Instead, ignore this dialog and click ‘Reopen’. This should bring a second dialog up once the app is re-opened (the dialog may be hidden behind the app’s main window):

This is the important one. This dialog will not only send us your crash log but will also allow you to identify the crash so that we can tie it to your support ticket, if you have one opened. Fill in at least your name or email, or both and press ‘Send’.
